Test Types

Aquatox Research currently provides sediment toxicity testing services with two freshwater species, the amphipod, Hyalella azteca and the oligochaete, Lumbriculus variegatus. AquaTox Research personnel have accumulated a significant level of experience with Hyalella and Lumbriculus by employing manual renewal methods in both standardized and modified test designs. Research into the nutritional requirements of Hyalella in 28-day test designs have been generated while a study to develop a reduced sediment volume test design with Lumbriculus has been completed as well.
