Aquatox Research assesses the acceptability of sediment tests with Hyalella azteca and Chironomus tentans by tracking dry weights of control organisms over extended periods of time. The graphs appearing below represent the dry weights of amphipods and dry weights and ash free dry weights of chironomids held in control sediment collected from a reservoir located in the Syracuse, NY area.
